MySource Matrix cms - development/support companies?

My colleagues and I are currently in the process of choosing a new content management system for our organisation's websites and we are seriously considering MySource Matrix.

Having had two demos of the system from Squiz I am incredibly impressed, but the only problem is that some of them are distinctly unsure about being locked into one company (Squiz) for support and development services.

Personally I don't have too much of a problem with using Squiz - although their hourly rate is not cheap, the software is open source and if it really is as powerful as it seems, it would be worth paying a premium for their services.

In order to convince my colleagues though, does anyone know of any other companies in the UK that provides support and/or development services using MySource Matrix please?

Thanks,

Stu

MySource Matrix

Hi Stu,

I've used Matrix for ages and love it. I also had a similar problem as you when it came to companies other than Squiz supporting it. The guys at Squiz are ok about this though and if you ask them they'll actually give you their competitors names.

I've been in contact with:

www.intendance.com
www.enableinteractive.co.uk

There are also freelancers about who can help:

http://aleks.bochniak.net/postbox/mysource-matrix
www.alexamine.co.uk

So you can use Squiz for the heavy lifting, an agency like Intendance for small pieces of front end work and freelancers for bits and pieces...

I've also made heavy use of:

http://manuals.matrix.squiz.net/
http://matrixsecrets.com/
http://community.squiz.net/

Cheers,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks ever so much for all that info - it's really, really helpful.

We are having a big meeting tomorrow to decide the way forward and hopefully what cms we will use. I am sure that the info you have provided will set many minds at rest and hopefully we will be migrating to MySource Matrix very soon!

Thanks again and best wishes,

Stu
