Payment gateway

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has done the coding for the payment gateway, Banks and other companies like eway are charging alot of money per transaction, if we could have our own and buy a SSL then i bet we can save heaps.

You mean process card payments directly yourself? I doubt you'll find a certificate and chucking together a bit of code the only requirements for something such as that. You'll have all the regulatory issues, the data protection issues, the liability if you are compromised and customer details are stolen etc, etc.
