Need All Kinds of People for FREE!!!

Ok, it's not as bad as it sounds. A lot of you will probably read this thread, as intended, and think badly about me. Ok, anyways, uhm. Right.

So... I'm a visionary. A unique visionary at that. I think up concepts, ideas, and such, and... well, start to make them but I always fall short. I sometimes lose dedication, as I lose motivation, as others lose interest... etc. Hmm... Where was I going with this.... OH YES!

Ok, here's what I want to do... I want to get a good collection of people together to not just work up projects... ah? But think up projects. I'd start a small forum for this, so it's simply easy, but I basically need people who are willing to dedicate some of their free time to thinking up clever, unique concepts, and are willing to spend a few hours working with others on making it possible.

Once a good idea is had, I'm sure that something good will come of it. Sure, hopefully it will involve money, but I'm not one that's concerned about that. I just love making unique things that I think people will use :P.

Alright, did you follow that? Here, let me summarize:
  • I need creative people who can come up with unique ideas.
  • I need people who are willing to do a bit here and there to help with the ideas that have been comed up with.
  • I need unique concepts that are rarely, if ever seen on the internet.
  • I need geniuses who realize that money is just stupid, and the real fun is the awesomeness of making something cool that people use.
  • graphics ppl, lots of graphics ppl.

Ok, I know my grammar and English sucked this entire post. It was kind of intentional. I really don't have such horrid typing skills, and am not as inept as I appeared. If you're willing to start something fresh without even knowing what the fresh something is, hit me up .

Oh yes, this is in partnerships because, as I said, I don't care about money. Lets look at this as making a movie. Everyone who helps out will get credits for their work entirely.

Hmm, if enough people display some interest, I'll go ahead and setup a small free forum for usage?

Thumbs up

We sound similar,

I also have lots of ideas that i start to build and do not finish due to lack of motivation, i believe when you create a partnership with another coder or like minded person you bounce of each other and motivate each-other, whereas working alone can get boring and your mind can wonder.
I haven't had much time lately to work on any projects but i'm hoping to spend more time developing.

Are you a coder and what projects type would you like to work on?

I can do the usual, php, myssql, xhtml, css etc. My most active website gets about 400-500 hits a day, so not to bad at SEO either. I would say I'm moderate at creating graphics, fine at Photoshop, dabbled with 3d Max, Maya and Lightwave before, but nothing more than a simple cup and cat with basic texturing. Also I'm pretty much at the verge of becoming advanced in vb6 and VB.net. I had done mild stuff in C a while ago creating a short game for psp. I run dedicated gaming servers for psp and pc games.

What form of contact do you have and what time zone are you in?

Im 21, I speak English. UK (GMT).
I use MSN/Live Messenger and xfire (dualfever) for games.

If your young i don't mind as long as your mature enough when working on projects, and like to get things done!

Some of my projects do earn small income, but they all go towards my server costs anyway. So there is no profit really.
Whilst I'm not into a group partnership as your post sounds would like to work with 1 or maybe 2 partners(most), until 1 or 2 projects are successful.
I'm open to ideas and full of suggestions.
If you think we could work together contact me via pm or this thread.

I'd be happy to help, although I'm not a scripter, I already have webhosting which includes unlimited domains, I can buy a domain for this if you want, just I want to be "webmaster" with you of course . And I'll help getting ideas and such.

I have a HostGator plan for the next two months at least... and a bunch of free domains, so yeah.

Though I don't mind working with 1-2 people on a project, and making successful things, I like the idea of a good team effort, and of the proper order of working...

Ya know, a project developer, a team lead, a few coders, a few graphics artists, a few testers, etc.

Nice portfolio :P.

I can't guarantee any income from it, but I suppose it's always a possibility. The intention of the project is to make unique stuff, and try to positively impact the web.

A new spin on old ideas, new ideas with a good purpose, etc... Things that people will use.

I hate worrying about finance, and server costs are generally paid by doing small freelance projects month by month.

Brainstormers are always necessary :P. Research is a big thing too.

Right now I have a simple forum (egoea.com) that people can share ideas and stuff on it. However, it's not exactly focussed towards a project team.

Sounds fun. I'd be willing to put in some hours/effort/work for free. I'm more of a programmer than anything else, but can provide some ideas, or at least expand on ideas that others may present.

If you're looking for a solid coder to join your team(?), then hit me up.

Regards,
Rebbu

Well if you get a private forum up for this and send everyone that wants to join a private PM with the URL, include me.

The only reason I stated previously that i'd rather work in a smaller team is from bad experience. Especially when creating a game once, with a dev team i ended up having to do everything... coding, graphics, sound.. etc. Then the whole project came to a halt, when i stopped. Although that was probably a poorly organized project, and i probably would like to try it again atleast.

So do you need any help in getting started?

I did mention i have a dedicated server that can be used down to root level, which could be useful for some projects.

Good Luck.
