critique of forum software design

Well I've been working on some custom forum software for a while and though I like the simplicity of the design I feel that I should be asking others as I will eventually be putting it up for download (after the bugs are worked out). With that said I feel that I am inexperienced with web accessibility and web design in general so I encourage anyone to respond as they please, any comments and suggestions are welcome.

html markup is invalid:

after you fix it, check css, is invalid too:

this page must be visible for guests? I see some member names, or that is what guess it is.

I like minimalist designs and I think this is pretty good. I am not a fan of cramming the content into a tiny box with a scroll bar even on a page that expands to 100% width though. Why not increase the height (or leave it unspecified so that it takes whatever space it needs)?

It's usually a good idea to start out with this at the VERY TOP of your CSS: * {border:0;margin:0;padding:0;}
Seek and you shall find... basically:
validate your markup | view your page cross-browser/cross-platform | free web tutorials | free hosting
