Okay I have coupons on my web-site and I wanted to track how many times people have clicked on the print button, I am assuming that this would be a PHP topic so I posting this thread,

Assuming you are using PHP then yes you are in the right place.

How does your print buttin currently work....or in other words what happens right now when people click on the button?

To do this you can simply write a number to a file.

Okay when you click the print button it prints another page but is there any way to simply count how many? and how.

Ok I kind of figured that you print a page when the print button is clicked. What I was looking for is what happens....ie do you open a new window? ...do open the print dialog box? or what when the button is clicked?

in any case here, in order to keep track of the clicks, a request will hve to be sent to the server so you will either have to reload the current page or request a new page that contains the code to open the file and update the count.
