Question fx.slide mootool in chrome/safari

My page is working as I want it to in firefox and IE. well almost fully in IE...

Anyways at the top of my page I am using an fx.slide that does not work at all in safari or chrome and was wondering if anyone here could shed some light as to why?

here is the page in question

Any help would be great. Thanks so much.

Don't use mootools its bad for javascript far to big:

use document.createElement('div);
here is a guide
http://www.java2s.com/Code/JavaScrip...entExample.htm

and to add propertys add this befor apendChild
myObj.setAttribut('id','myobj);

I just tried this briefly and I dont think it quite gives the same sliding effect which the people I am making the website for really like. So I don't think I can switch to this technique.

Do you have any insight on the mootools problem or do you usually just avoid it all the time?
