Populating Flash Arrays With External SWFS

hey there yall you are all smart. so i pose this question to you...

my idea is this:

i wanna have one flash file (swf) that pulls in several smaller swf's....and i want it to "know" when i add a new smaller swf and automatically pull it in. im guessing some sort of array, but how do i get flash to tell if there is a new swf? would i write a "while" script?
