Exclamation How can I copy the User directory.

As I often change the operating system on my PC, I have the problem of keeping the settings in the Users directory. So far I have not found a way to do this.

I have tried Sync Toy but this often will not copy many of the entries.

Does anybody know of a program that will copy this directory reliably?

Frank

Did you run SyncToy as Administrator?

Yes Cyan,
I run every program in that mode. I am using Windows 7 latest download and fully upgraded. 7100. 64bit. now, so I will have to try it again. It previously failed to copy 427 files.

I have just ordered a new 64bit laptop so I needed to get this PC in the same mode. I just hate having to re-install the programs again. Two of them renew the registration code over the internet from time to time. Re-instal the program and then find that you have got to get in touch with the supplier to get the latest reg, number.

I am not a happy man.

Fuming Frank.
