My full-time job is as an IT Manager I, managing an Enterprise website (over 200 sub-sites), related Corporate Website (2 sites), Intranet and SharePoint site.
But part of this job, is sitting with the clients (website owners), talking to them about their business and intentions for the website (consultation) and getting an understanding of their brand, target audience and goals as well mission statement and vision.
We sit, plan and begin the design and development of the website architecture. I work closely with back end web developers as I create and test their website - working closely with the client, to ensure we are on target.
Part of my job is to not only create the web design, but plan the layout. The layout is a mapping of chosen scripts (I create/implement), multimedia, graphics, and points of interactivity.
Each piece is carefully planned, thought through for possible issues, and ensuring future growth. Once approved I get to work creating everything.
I work with multimedia (existing files), create interactive apps in flash, graphics, illustrations, etc.. I also webmaster our corporate site, and with the client side of SharePoint 2003 and 2007.
Some Programs used are Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Corel Paint, FrontPage.
I live in SE Time, and I am available to work nights and weekends. I have quick turnaround time and previously freelanced for 11 years.
