Yeah, pretty much.

You aren't likely to get several things for nothing. Especially with no ads. You can find free hosting sites, sure. But free domain registration is pushing it a bit. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Eh thought as much. The free hosting/domain is most important, I can hopefully code around a few ads. (It's only a mock-up/personal project type thing for now.)

Any suggestions? I tried webs (I remembered it as freewebs =( )and they don't seem to even offer the option of uploading a css file. :-/ Anyone have any better suggestions?

edit: Again, I'm not too bothered if the domain name is www.myname.somthingelse.com

If you live in the UK, what's wrong with a .co.uk address for ~£3.20 for a year?

What about freehostia or something like that?
