Question Directory Help Needed For Website

I am polishing up on my website building and have just finished building 3 basic sites for clients. I am building my own site offering advertising options for local services. I will use adsense, google adwords for a search in my site, however need to build a directory into my own site for local services and not sure what extension to use in Dreamweaver? Where do I get the code and how do I build. I need something along the lines of yellowpages.com built into my own site. Can anyone offer suggestions as I really am just starting on this side of web development.

I would find an existing PHP/MySQL script, either a free one or pay for one ...
