Resolved Need help with a "got ya gag" surprise

1) Project Details: (be as specific as possible): I'm not a programer, so I thought I would see if this catches anyone's interest.

What I'm looking for is a web page that has a small image on it that is used with the java onmouseout command that in turn initiates a .wav file.
Note: no onmouseover needed or wanted.

The image needs to just be a reference to a file on the hard drive that I can change to different images as needed.

Also the .wav file needs to be reference from the hard drive likewise. once the code works I can edit these two areas.

The purpose of this is to leave this web page up with the mouse arrow inside the image when walking away from the computer, and then having someone come along who thinks they are going to use your computer to do something and make it look like you did it. For example use your email to send some unsuspecting person a love note. But, when they move the mouse off of the image the onmouseout will initiate a .wav file which with the speakers turned up full blast, will play a siren that alerts everyone in the area and causes the person to have a panic

that they deserve.

This is really not the appropriate way to go about asking for this service as this is a paid work forum.

That said, I was bored so I made a simple page that will do as requested in Internet Explorer. See attached...

Unzip everything to the same folder and test it out. Just replace the image (name the file "image.jpg") and the sound (name the file "noise.mp3") with whatever it is you have in mind and you won't have to change anything else.

If you want to use a *.wav file or a different image format you will have to adjust the HTML file accordingly but it should be hard to get lost in so doing...

Just open up "page.html" in Notepad and change the references on lines 7 and 12 of the HTML file to use whatever file extension you are after.

Please kindly mark your thread here as "resolved" as well so that nobody wastes time reviewing something that has already been covered.

It works great. We caught the main culprit this morning. We had it play a .wav file that sounded a siren and also said "Warning Intruder alert".

He had such a red face and look of shock

. The humor was fun for all in the area.

Edit:
Oh yes, We found that the audio was easily canceled with the escape key. To help with this problem we found that having another window open (any other program) and with it being the active window, the escape key didn’t work to cancel the audio in our java script window.
