Gaming lottery site (using API)
1) Project Details: I would like to have a site built that will run a lottery for an online game. Users from the game should be able to select their lottery numbers or chose a Quick Pick number. The site should pull payment for the tickte(s) from the user's in game character's wallet and send it to a lottery employee's in game wallet. The online game provides an API to make this possible.
3rd party integrity will be used validate the lottery numbers. This will be in the form of the US Powerball. The site will have to retrieve the numbers from each drawing and check them against the tickets that were purchased. Winning numbers will have to have the correct prize amounts automatically sent to the winning characters. Players should be able to play the same numbers over multiple drawings with out having to pick the numbers before each drawing.
Plans are to have the site offer both 5+1 and 3+1 lotteries using the same US Powerball numbers. This will allow players the option for different odds of winning.
I can provide the graphical needs of the site and can point the hired coder to several projects that use the game's API in a similar manor to what I (think) need.
