jquery ui tab effects

Is there an easy way to apply an effect such as fade, or slide, to the jquery ui tab thingy? If so, how do you do it?

Oh yes, quite perfect.. though bizzarely this solution doesn't use the UI Tabs! I guess that doesn't matter but it's funny that jquery's UI API apparently is not very flexible. No worries-- I'll don't need to use the UI; this solution is great.
