Where is the data coming from?

i just need 1 page coded to update live data without havin to refresh the page...there is no problem, it needs coded..i have a php page which shows rankings and i want it to update without refreshin the page...the data comes from the database duh..ur a senior coder...lol...dont pm me just post reply here

data could be coming from anywhere (db, rss feeds, a file, etc)... it wasn't a stupid question.
