Post ColdFusion Programmer opening @ GE in Schenectady, NY

Granite Services (a GE-affiliate) is looking for a ColdFusion Programmer to be located in Schenectady, NY. This 4-8 month contract position has the opportunity to turn into a permanent position with the client company. Full benefits including health, 401k, marketplace discounts and a generous PTO package will be included during the contract phase.

Our client, an eLearning group within GE Energy supports the Global eLearning needs of the organization. As a core part of this support, the group designs, develops, deploys, supports, and maintains eLearning (digital training) course programs. The group also supports technical learning efforts.

Required Skills:

Ø Advanced HTML, JavaScript, CSS programming a must
Ø ColdFusion (7/8) experience a must
Ø Advanced Experience in developing, testing and documenting database driven WEB applications
Ø Strong database skills in designing Oracle databases including tables, triggers, sequences, procedures
Ø Proficiency in PL/SQL as it pertains to Oracle 8 or higher

Proficiency with the following software is required:

Dreamweaver MX
Cold Fusion (7/8)

Desired Skills:

Experience with the following software is a plus:

Ø Macromedia Flash
Ø Adobe Photoshop 7 or higher
Ø TOAD
Ø ASP
Ø PHP

Ø Strong organization skills, time management, and follow through.
Ø Effective English language verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires a self-starter capable of analyzing a client's needs and producing a finished application within a specified time frame. Person must be capable of taking verbal direction and translating that into a requirements document.

Please note: the interview process will include HTML and ColdFusion programming exercises.
