Flash Video problem

I have some Flash Video Files (.flv) and wish to show them on from my website.

When I have my flv video in my flash site it works perfect when I load locally. When I put it online though it doesn't work. I tried to connect to the file through typing the directory but it just says can't load .flv file. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong by any chance?

When I click on the button I also get the following:
A dialogue box with the buttons:
SAVE - OPEN - CANCEL.

If I click on open I get the following message in my FLV player:
Unable to load (file name)

If I use Flash Player it is just blank.

Could tell me what i am doing wrong? The button has a link to (filename.flv).
I just want to be able to click on a button and to be able to run it (without it being downloaded) in FLV player and Flash Player in a popup or even better in Videobox (Lightbox for video).

Is there any special code I need in the webpage, if so what is it?

All help much appreciated

Have you put in the direct URL? Otherwise, how did you design the player and with what code?

Do you have a SWF file that is designed to play videos? Otherwise this is the problem, that program only works for files you download. If you don't have a SWF, it won't play online. View my website for an example.

It is true for uploading swf and flv, The flv files can't be open standalone.

Hi, The flv player do have not use for playing flv files on your website, If you only open a flv file from local or flv url online, you could use flv player, I used any flv player, aunsoft flv player, If you only play flv files, I recommend you to use aunsoft flv player, It has my favorite function:Playlist and favorite management for handy file arrangement
