Detecting RealPlayer Plugin using Javascript

I found this script which detects the Version of RealPlayer installed on a user's browser:

http://www.builtfromsource.com/2007/...ll-the-others/

I need the script to check if the user has the latest version of RealPlayer installed, and if not, then show them a message or offer an update.

I however need some guidance on how to use this script. How do I use the GetVersionInfo() to check for the version, and how can I put a condition on my media page which displays a message if the latest version of RealPlayer (11) is not installed?

A brief outline on how I can use this (or other equivalent) script would be much appreciated.
