Hey, I was told by "Moodle" that this forum does site reviews! So I was wondering If My site could be reviewed.
Basically want to hear what you think of my sites design, coding and ease of use.
I built the whole structure of the site myself, I don't use any open source software like joomla or php fusion. I don't even use Cutenews, its all done by HTML / CSS.
Design:-
I like the dark colours. It's very pleasing to the eye.
I also like the transparency on the navigation. However, the hover effects on the navigation do not fit the theme.
Tech:- 98 ERRORS and 1 WARNING
You have used tables. Tut, tut.
Alternate Text should be provided in case of the images not loading.
Good graphics. I'm not sure I like the white background in the content area. It kind of seems out of place. I like the transparency effects. One thing I didn't like was that your menu doesn't work with javascript disabled and it should.
The counter for the simmers online thing looks out of place.

I think he means it reads a little odd, seeing as it's a verb used in cooking.
The white content background DOES look a little out of place, too. I messed about with it: changed #shcontent to 1px width and a background of #000, and #content to a background of #555. It looks better, try it out.
Also consider:
- adding a hover color for links
- taking off the blue border of links
- show an 'active' state for your dropdowns.
- provide backup fonts for 'Tahoma', even if it's just the generic 'sans-serif'.
FWIW, (Iam no expert designer), I agree both with Aero and CyanLight.
I think the number of visitors (or is it number of simmers online); one of them is missing a number and the number you have displayed shouldn't have such a blue border and it should be positioned elsewhere. apart from that, anything else I could see was already mentioned.
