To all thread starters, check your "pm" box for responses, as that's how bidders will be communicating with you mainly using. You can turn on new pm notification by going to "User CP"-> "Edit Options"-> "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages".
To respondents, avoid replying to a thread with a short generic response like "pm sent" as much as possible. It is pointless and clutters up the screen.
To respondents, don't reply to a work request with a summary of your resume. If you're not willing to spend the time to at least read the request and respond specifically to the request, then don't reply. The Web Projects forum isn't a place to get your resume/ portfolio posted on as many threads as possible, it's for the direct, human interaction between coder and client. Members who blanket the forums with their resume replies will be treated as spammers and banned.
To all thread starters, please update your thread's prefix to "resolved", when you've found a coder for your project or partnership (or wish to terminate the request). This is so coders don't waste time bidding on an invalid project. To do this, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
Hi PHP coders.
Well, I are looking for a PHP coder who is willing to work with us. We're hoping to find someone experienced and to help maintain the site. So, if your willing to help for free let me know! And as you might of picked up you will be working with a big site.
What we require is a simple content management system (CMS) which will ofcourse use PHP & MYSQL to run. Its fairly straight forward and does not require any advance features.
If your intrested let us know!

lol Best of luck trying to find someone to work for free on a giant website project for absolutely no monetary gain and/or shares and offering them absolutely nothing for their work.
I dont think he was saying "you might be picked for a big site", I think he was saying that it IS a big site:
"as you might have picked up, [IF YOU ACCEPT] you will be working with a big site.
In other words, even that was not being offered as consolation/compensation, but merely letting you know you would have even more work.
Also, does anyone feel uncomfortable working for someone whose chosen screenname is oxycontin? lol jk

How about this?
What we need primarily is a simple CMS using PHP & MySQL. It's pretty straightforward and no advanced features are needed.
Until we have launched the site we will not be able to offer any money for the CMS setup, however once the site is launched we will be seeking a coder to maintain the site and add some additional features.
All we require is the basic backend/frontend coding.
The backend will, at the very minimal need Add / Edit / Delete / Test functions for links .
The the frontend will have four dynamic pages.
> Main Page / for Site news etc
> Show List Page (with categorys)
> Episode page
> Video page (Where the link will be used with flash or divx player) [either through a pop-up or an element on the page]
If you think you can improve on the functionality of any aspects feel free.
But, after that, when the site is up and running we are looking for a coder who will hekp maintain the site, and whatever funds are available through advertisements etc the coder will get a cut of the money.
You'll have to "spill the beans" on your idea in order to get anyone
interested. I would hate to spend two weeks on programming, only
to find out you're trying to do a "You-Tube" kind of thing.

Your site idea should be unique (not done before) and not be able to
use an existing PHP/MySQL script ... for a person to spend a week
only to find out they could have installed an existing script and had it
running in 1 hour .... whew, that would make someone mad.

That is the site were i am from, we are trying to bring it back.
However, the coder is not here anymore, so we need a new one.
We are a linking site, not a youtube, we do not wish to host videos
