Hi everyone. This is my first post. Please let me know if this section is not the right one to start this thread. I was not sure so I chose "General web Building".
I have a photography website (
http://www.shutterlux.com/) that I did not design. I know enough (following procedures that I have) to upload new photographs but I tried to change something and it is not working (please keep on reading):
If you go to my site (
http://www.shutterlux.com/) a "presentation" page will come up for about 10 seconds and then you'll be redirected to my homepage (
http://www.shutterlux.com/homepage.htm). The "presentation" page that comes up is random. There is a file that has the different jpg's that are randomly loaded.
There is a script that controls how the files are loaded and how long the "presentation" page is on screen before the viewer is redirected to my homepage. Enclosed are the 2 relevant sections of that htm file:

In section 1 I have changed the refresh content to 6, from 10 [sec]. In section 2 I have expanded the number of jpg files that are loaded.
I have uploaded this script (with the changes described above) to the webserver where my site resides, substituting the old script. However when I go to the web and go to
http://www.shutterlux.com/ the refresh rate is still 10 [sec] (instead of 6) and only the old "presentation pages" show up. Thus it seems that the changes that I made to the script (shown above) are ignored.
My question to you gurus is: Where am I messing up? What I have done is simply to edit the htm file (script above) using Dreamweaver, make and save the changes and uploaded it to the webserver. I have also uploaded the new jpg (presentation-XX.jpg) files to the proper directory in the webserver. Is this correct and sufficient?
This is probably very basic stuff but I am totally lost.
