Date/Time and Local TimeZone from Browser headers. ?

I have a need to give the view on the date/time to the user (web surfer) on a website, but the time needs to be set to the users local timezone. I am aware this is given via the browser headers. I DO NOT want to use the time the users 'local system'. I will grab their timezone from the headers and use that against utc/greenwich.

Does someone have a working example of this somewhere? I can't seem to locate one. Alot of people talk about it, but I have yet to see a reliable and complete script.

The problem is that the browser does NOT send the client time/time zone in the headers. You would need to write or find a javascript script to do this.

You can take the "screen resolution" example in the php manual and modify it to send the client time/time zone or any other information available in the browser - http://www.php.net/manual/en/faq.htm...cript-variable

Here is a script that does this (tested with various time zones, including some of the 1/2 hour and 3/4 hour ones) -

This has to be done 100% client side. I can't use any server side interference.
