FTP file limit

hi ,

Although it sounds bizzare but thats true , i have 15000 images in one folder on the web . Thats how it is , i can't chnage the system now . But the FTP (i have only realized now) that shows only 1998 files only . so everytime some files are duplicated .

Now is there any solution to this . Does this is the problem with FTP client or i need to change some settings with the hosting provider. When i check from the website file manager it shows 15000 files.

What ftp client are you using?

And if you have it, you could try SSH.

I was just thinking you could use sftp to see the correct number of files. I dont know what program does it for windows but I use Ubuntu an its built in it. Lets you see your website directory like its part of your computer.
