Layout for new page (pretty slow in IE)

I just redesigned my whole arcade website since I had photoshop. For one reason, I need opinions about the new layout (not about validation, please )

The color scheme is very distracting, and doesn't allow for quick skimming or easy reading. The green hues are not very consistent, and the header just doesn't fit the color of the page. The borders are dotted, and that gives it a goofy feel. The boxes of information are not easily organized, and some are extraneous. I would suggest getting rid of the Information box. Your site should be about the CONTENT, and not about what browsers I have, or what settings I have, or what browser I should have, and so on. Your left bar doesn't really provide anything besides a link to a featured item, which I think if you are going to feature a game like this you will want to make it much more prominent. Your Note section, is extraneous too, and its also red which makes me drawn to it, but it says something that most people won't know what it means, so I'd change that.

Also, importing games from other sites doesn't really have much promise for your page. It means that you aren't able to produce the content that people are really looking for, so once they figure out your page doesn't make the games, they will find the site that did. So that is a huge thing to think about.

The green colour reminds me a bit of vomit. Is anyone else picking that up?
And on "This is not available for resolutions below 1024 by 768.":
1) I don't browse full-screen. I like my wallpaper. Which means the total real estate you can use is decidedly less than 1024 by 768. So?
2) It's the Internet. You can't choose the client's system configuration!
Basically, don't abuse me =(

Lose the browser identification thing, that has no value. There isn't very much contrast in the color scheme you picked which makes it hard to read the site.

Your main navigation bar should be an unordered list of links not separate divs.

And whats with the note thing? I even bothered to maximize and reload the page it was still there, yet the browser window was larger than 1024x768. You can make it fluid so it will use up as much as it has but you shouldn't expect to have that much space.

hrm, didn't bother looking at any of that, i just scrolled & watched the magic...
that game overlaps things at will & takes it's sweet time catching up with the scrolling of the page along with leaving interesting rendering lines all over the place while waiting. methinks that the validation should come first so that you know that what you're trying to get in terms of looks will actually be possible as valid code.
