Cartoons of the 90s.com

Check it out. Just took it live - planning on adding more episodes/shows later but it is such a pain.

Give a review and suggestions for shows you'd like to see!

Ren and Stimpy
Beavis and Butthead

good luck!!

I think the logo could use more of a cartoon-ish look.

Yeah, the page looks awesome.

I have two suggestions
1.) I would actually have a contact form to fill out for users, rather than listing your email address.
a.) it's more user friendly
b.) you don't want spam bots picking up your email address

2.) I would move your Good ads above the page title, or maybe to a skyscraper on the side. It just seems odd to view the title, and then right below that see ads. But that could just be me.

Nice site, but the layout's messed up in Opera (the right column goes below the left).

Hmm.. I get 3 different layouts in IE6, FF(with ad-blocker installed), and Opera.

I like the design. I like your use of CSS for the tabs at the top and for the links on your site. Nice work.

The headings on the menu such as "Links", "The Shows", etc. should be smaller.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I ran a quick query on browsershots and know what needs to be fixed to get IE6 running properly. However I can't recreate the Opera/FF problem.

Can you tell me which version/OS/res you're running so maybe I can narrow it down.

Thanks!

I just checked on IE6, IE7, Firefox 2.0.0.13, Opera 9.26 & Safari 3.03. The only browser not displaying the page properly for me is IE6.

Win XP SP2, 1440 x 900

Just added

Code:
white-space:nowrap;
_width:80px
So everything should be the same but MSIE6 should now work (I checked it on browser shots and it looks good)

Please let me know if you discover any other compatibility issues.

I like the simple layout and I actually started watching a few toons before I left. The only thing I have a problem with is the google ads at the top. Try putting them under the navigation bar.

I like it. A nice, yet effective layout.

A bit unsure about the reasoning behind having the main menu on two places though. Having it at the top should be enough, and it marks the links as different than the movie-links.

The hover effect on the left menu was a bit too subtle for my taste as well. Simply adding a slight background tint, to background: #444 for example, made the menus easier to read while still being simplistic.

How about featuring a random cartoon on the front page? That would spice up the front even more IMO.

Otherwise its pretty nice.
