http://i21.tinypic.com/5cc2uc.jpg.png works too. What you both are missing is that the extension doesn't determine the type of file. The server is sending the file headers, which tell the browser it's a GIF image.

File extensions are almost worthless. Make a .txt document, and rename it to whatever you want, open it with a text editor and it will still show you your original .txt document contents. It's the same with images. It's just a renamed .gif.

Every software I used say it is a JPEG.
