Unhappy HTML Link to download file?

Hi I'm back again
New problem
I have made a screensaver for my website guests to download
Problem is where do I start? Someone told me to Zip the file! So I did Now this is where I get confused
What do I do next. Do I put the Zip file in my root folder on my server then link from there. Something like http://www.mysite.co.uk/screensaver.zip
I've been at this all day & thought of you lot again after sorting my other problems out for me

Thanks in advance
Frank
