Comment on my website.

Hey everyone! Please visit my site and rate it. Its my first website i've ever made. Also i would like it if people give me tips and sample codes to what i should change. I'm only 16 and relatively new to web programming. Note a few things on my website isn't up yet.

http://www.igotacha.com (Look in the about section for why that is the name i had chosen.)

Oh and one more thing. Yes, I know the myspace layout page is goofed up. I have just doing a big update for it and i haven't decided on how i want that update to be displayed.

Looks like your average first site.

not 800x600 friendly. add a repeating background to the header. forum does not match site (which might be a good thing).

Its bad on so many levels.

1. your chat and forum links on the right look like adverts
2. way too many adverts
3. doesn't fit right in any standard resolution (to narrow for 800x600 and 1024x768 and too wide for 1280x1024) what resolution did you have in mind when you designed it?
3. Your Horizontal menu items are too small, too close together and don't look good with blue on highly saturated red
4. All the 'please join my forum' begging comes off as really needy
5. There is no site cohesion, each block is separate and seems unrelated to the others - theres no common design elements.
6. The page heading has the same background as the page - looks very wrong and black on dark red is not enough contrast to be readable (particularly to the site impaired, old or dyslexic)
7. The content pages don't match the rest of the site and it takes 2 clicks to get to them, why?
8. The left menu links look nice, on their own - but again, they have no cohesion with the rest of the site. They're also flush to the left of the screen with a 50px gap on the right - either centralise them or get rid of the huge gap at the right.
9. The forum theme is a bit vamp/emo (black and bright red)

The color scheme is...
...Let's start with "too dark" and work our way up from there. They clash a lot, for starters.

I like the forum theme. It matches with certain...tastes. Perhaps you should try these colors in your main page to match it into the rest of your site.#

The "Myspace" bit is seemingly random.

The menu items are too close. I didn't even realize they were menu items at first. It's too wide on my screen at 1024x.
