onClick and php / Mysql

Hi javascript specialists,

I was already searching for severall hours and cannot find the solution.
So therefore now at the end a posting to ask to the specialists.

What I need is a onClick event on a link, what after the click , ofcourse opens the link, but also runs a simple php programm, I need it just for counting the outgoing clicks on a link.
The php programm I can make my own, but I cannot combine it with the Javascript onClick... :-(

Who can help with this ?

Thanks a lot !

Valeria

Mwnciau is on a distinguished road
You could use AJAX to open the page

Thans Mwnciau,

I'll have a look at it, thanks for the tip.

Indeed I read something about Ajax but I hoped .... there was an easier solution for it without new programming

Are there other possibilities ?

Thanks
Valeria
