Looking for marquee script

Hello,

I hope this is the right forum.
If not, sorry...

For a small PHP shop, I am looking for a piece of marquee code. Not the bumping HTML marquee, but a nice smooth one. My knowledge of JavaScript is almost zero, but I am told that this language can do the trick.

With some googling, I found this:
www.appletcollection.com/magicscroll.html
This is really doing the trick and looking great with multiple sentences, using different colors, speed and letter size walking through each. This is exactly what I am looking for, and license cost only $19. I had some question about the license, and because it is for a store, I would like to buy one. For over a week now, I sent a couple of emails to the website holder, using all de email addresses I could find on the site. Unfortunately, there is no response what so ever.

Does somebody on this forum have a piece of code, or knows where to get is, that looks as great as the one that I found?

Regards,
Peter

That is a Java applet. Here's a Javascript Forum. Java and Javascript are different languages, related mainly by the commercial name long time ago when Sun (the owner of Java) and Netscape (the owner of LiveScript) decided to work together against Microsoft and change the name of the client-side language from LiveScript to JavaScript.

Now, would a javascript marquee be good enough for you?

Finally I know the difference between Java and JavaScript they come up with java applet. Correct me if I am wrong, Java is always server sided, but if you want to run it client sided, you use Java applet.

How did you conclude it is a Java applet? Is it because de file is coded, or by name of the file magic_textscroll.class?

And of course, if a JavaScript can do the trick on a neat manner, JavaScript it will be.
Any suggestions?

The title was conclusive to me: "Magic Text Scroll Java Applet"
