a:hover Tip to Share

At work my new project is to give the website a much needed bit of restructuring. The company that set it up did, in my opinion, a lousy job. Well, the site's not that bad, but for an organization paying the amount of money that was spent there's some serious issues that shouldn't exist.

Anyway, I'd like to share a neat little trick that I stumbled upon today and I plan to impliment in the site. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have used it, but I don't really recall seeing it done before in this manner.

To give visual feedback that a button graphic is indeed a link and not just a pretty graphic, add to a:hover {position: relative; top:1px; left:1px;}

I've seen before where the designer has modified the text-decoraction or color, but never the position.
