Jeff Vader.com

Okay, I still have some tweaking to do for SEO, and on the footer. But what do you think so far? Any suggestions?

Hey,

Your header takes up 600x of prime relesate and then your 2nd header takes up a bunch more. If i was on my laptop i would of had to scroll down just to see a some content. I would consider addressing this issue. you also might want to center the page.

WorldEvolution. Thanks for the constructive critisim, (sarcasm intended). It's fine if you don't like things, but could you tell me why? Or perhaps give suggestions? If it's just not your style, I understand, but you could say that instead of saying you hate the whole site. It seems we just have different styles.

I'm not too worried about you not knowing the purpose of the site. It's just a crazy blog site for a group of friends.

Okay, I updated a few things based on srule's comments. I tried to reduce the header a bit, and I centered the page. I know some might say the header could still be smaller, but I kind of like it the way it is... but feel free to comment.

Also, could someone check the pngs in IE6. I think I have the fix set-up correctly, but I'm working on a mac right now, and don't have IE on here.

Works perfectly in IE6, although I get an alert box that says "Press OK to continue loading content" before it loads the png fix.

And to be honest, although the header was bigger in your previous version, I liked it much better. I've always liked your style from previous reviews and the original really showed it off much more. If you could possibly use the original image above the Jeff Vader title bar and then shorten the Jeff vader title bar, that may work.

Shane, thanks for the feedback.

That's odd about the alert box. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks for the compliment on my style. I liked the original better too, but one reason I did change it was from feedback from the others that I'm sharing the site with. I'm continuing to get feedback from them, so some things will probably still change based on what they also say.

Thanks again.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but I'm using MultipleIE to check in IE6 so there's always a chance there could be a bug in the MultipleIE program. So you may want to check with someone who actually has IE6 installed just in case. Also, the alert box doesn't seem to be from javascript but from IE6 itself.

I just checked and I must admit, it's looking rather plain now. That great background is gone, although the continuous background for the content area seems to work fairly well.

I liked the red title bar header better although to make it not seem so large you could put the funny pictures under the old red bar header similar to the state they are in now but have the funny pictures behind the actually content of the page.

Also the actually text area is boring now with the tan. It was more interesting with the white content area with the inner shadow/glow that gave the round edge feel to it.
