How does this look?

Does this site look like it may have potential?

Looks nice.

A few small issues you might want to look at.
Code:
#cent_head_content {
	background:white;
	width:790px;
	margin: 0 auto 50px auto;
	background:url(images/logo.gif) no-repeat 15px center;
}
should keep the + vertically centers on a text resize and it won't move it too far down on the base font size.

The site needs to be a wee bit narrower for 800x600.

The right side of the blue in your header breaks when it goes down to 800 or less.

IMO, give the body a little bottom padding. On my resolution the bottom grey border sits dead on the bottom of the screen. Doesn't look so hot. Add a little padding to the body to bump it some and it would always be a little room down there.

and change your #content_header to a class.

All in all. clean and nice.

I am building a new template for my site as well (notice when I viewed my church webstats I still get a good 10-15% 800x600 users. FYI make your page no bigger than 760 pixels. This will ensure you don't have any scrollbars when someone views in 800x600.
