Isn't this a neat idea..

Check this out, http://www.ezboard.com/404error.html

The links at the top, onMouseOver the other links become dissapear in a sense to shift focus to the link you are over.
I have never seen that done before, although not complicated it is clever.

It's nice, but Id say its too touchy. It would be better to incorporate some kind of transition, instead of instant change.

More user friendly would be that other links fade (with opacity filter), but not completely. Now user has to move hir mouse out of the link, if he/she wants to see what were the topics of other links.

Nah, do not like it.
Too distracting and counterintuitive.
I would expect an action to the element I'm interacting with, not everything around it.

zoobie has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Anything that bloats the code really isn't a good idea although I didn't look...Perhaps it was done simply.

What's really bad are those sites that have 6-7 javascripts running all over the place. Falling snow, no right click, etc, etc. Code bloaters!

If search engines ever start to read javascript...they'd go mad. Guess that's why they don't.

Those are very valid points, I just meant that it was different. Well for me at least. I wouldn't use it though. I prefer text links quicker.
