Exclamation Complex Tables: This may be a challenge... X_X;

I have fine enough ability to work with HTML and CSS, but I can't quite figure out how to do this little feat here... I think it's a very complex system of tables, I have no idea how to get it working. @_@
It's also a little difficult because the site it's needed for uses a BBCode Converter... HTML & CSS can be entered, but it'll be automatically changed to BBC, so some things are different I think.
I'd like anyone to jot down and discuss the code with me so I can study and tinker with it and USE it already, without spending the week searching the entire internet for the right tutorial.
I mean, I'm willing to do homework if I have to, I just wanna get this done and over with asap. I have a LOT of things to work on...
Please? x_x

Here is the basic template of what I'm trying to get:

The green lines I said I would explain, are hard to explain...
The original "inspiration" I got this template from ((even tho a friend thought it up for me)) is this profile. See those small bars next to the blocks of content? Those are what the green lines are talking about.

Thank you all so much in advance.. I'm totally screwed here. X__X

OH! If you're wondering for whatever reason, this is to be my profile on one of my websites. Usually I do them all myself, but this site is a little confusing and I've never done this many freaking tables like this... Bah.

OH!²
And credits are as listed:
Template design: A friend of mine.
Original template idea: A friend of said friend.
Template customizing: Me.
((I just like to list things that way, don't mind me and my lame self. -_-))

Credits will be listed on the finished profile, and of course whoever helps me with this will get their place in that list if you'd like. ^_^

I'm very new here.. In fact I really only signed up so I could get help with this.
But I think I'm interested enough in this place to become a steady member.. We'll see after I get this done.
Pleeeaaase help me with this, as SOON as possible..
My profile is pathetic right now and I have a LOT of other things to get done, please help asap. o.o

Advice #1: Tables for layout are stupid.
Advice #2: This is a really, really, really damn simple 2 column layout. Would take like 5 minutes to create the basic structure. And with the use of a background image for the vertical line (maybe you can even get it to work with regular borders) it won’t take that much more time to get the details working as well.
And with a pure CSS styled semantic website you’ll be able to maintain and edit the site a lot easier and faster.

Bon Rouge has some good tutorials, one of them for a two column layout. Start with that and come back if you have more questions.
