Changing current window name

Is there anyway to change the current window name? Like throwing in a javascript command on the body tag with onLoad=""?
I tried window.name="name" but of course it isnt that easy. I good site suggestion on how elements/referencing works (ie document.form./window.location./etc) would be appreciated.
