Yoga Gia

What do you think? I am doing this for a family member. It is a simple and clean layout. I have not had it approved yet so it is possible to fix things.

edit:// The only thing that bothers me is the yoga girl in the bottom right corner.

Did you make this layout?

I did make this layout. Was that supposed to be a compliment or an insult?

The only thing I used from other people was the images (which I used the cutout filter on), the font script and the positioned fix code for IE6 (which sorta does not work).

Thank for the reply!

That yoga person in the footer goes on top of the body text when in 800x600.
Just thought you should know.

Try settings the z-index of the content higher than that of the bottom section. An alternative could be to set your current background image into a div, and since it shall come before the content, it will always be beneath it. Just ask if you want the code.

Overall, its a nice crisp design. I especially like the filtered image of the person doing yoga at the bottom.

So you would rather have the content over the girl than just scrolling down to see content (like it is now)?

Well, it depends on the person who this website is being designed for. If they prefer the content under its fine! Just that nt everybody maximizes their screen, and though there may not be many of them, possibly some people still view at 800x600.

If you had 800x600 would you rather have the content under or on top of the picture?

Content over is preferable I think. If a picture is over text, it looks like an error.

I guess I need to see more content to offer up more advice. But in the meantime: if you are going to keep Link One, Link Two, etc. as text consider adding a bit more space between them. Not a lot, maybe an Em space or two.

The gray color for the background is a good neutral and not hard on the eyes.

I hate IE6 (working on putting the text over the girl).
How is the padding for the nav?

edit:// everything works?
