C++ project tutorials

it may sound daft, i`m startin to learn C++ and i would like to know of any good sites for tutorials.
i would like to know if there are any particualr sites where as u learn you make a project e.g. a simple game otherwise i feel i haven`t learn anything.

i got lucky i took programming at high school. ia good online tutorial is hard to find... maybe someone else can help you there.
you have a compiler, right? borland's commandline compiler works good for me. if you have a few bucks you could get the Micro$oft .NET thing.
a good editor might be of use also. i use editplus.

I use DEV C++ compiler, i refuse to buy microsofts compiler at there extortanate prices.
that is one of the main reasons i chose to learn C++ rather than VB as there are many free C++ compilers.

thats why you dont buy from microsoft, you steal. VC++ is my fav, burned it and didnt have to pay em one cent

yeah its DevC++ ive got as well.

you can have a look at http://www.informit.com/free_library/index.asp

there are free online books there for C++ learning, you need to sign up for a free account tho.

I have DEV-C++ .. It seems good. Although I don't know the laguage yet.
