Pricing

Pricing

I have a few companies asking me to make them websites. These would be just introductory websites.

I have no idea what is acceptable to charge for doing this. Would £400-£500 be reasonable? I have seen some companies charge alot more than this for introductory sites.

The company in question are builders and are not short on cash (You should see the cars they drive around in). So, I will not be undercharging them

Can I possibly have a look at some of your pricing structures so I can make me a pricing scheme I can stick to. I am planning to charge for the project not by the hour. This will be fairer to the client becasue as Im a beginner so its going to take longer for me to do.

Thanks

You should never charge based on what you think you might be able to get or whether or not they have lots of money. You should charge a fair price based on what you think your time is worth.

£400-£500 sounds about right for a basic 4-6 page site, including contact form.
