Respond to Hover over text

I would like to pop up an image when the user hovers over text. In my case the word "this". When hovering over it I want an image to appear. What would you suggest as the best way to do it? Javascript is more than likely involved and that's just fine. I just can't remember the best approach.

Thanks very much for the pointer. I have spent a few hours looking through the offerings and have exactly what I need with very little editing.
