Some opinions please

Hi, I would like the opinions on some code, my freind runs a site and I have also made a site, he says I should rebuild my site using his method rather than mine but I find my method of site building much more flexible.

What do you guys think ?

My site:http://www.richardsonsonline.co.uk/

His site:http://www.bikecare.co.uk/

All opions are usefull, good or bad please post both.

Thankyou for your time.

I think you should put the Bikes selection as a top navi. don't have it going down the side. Your page is already to long. but I don't see a reason for you to change your site.

nexosis can only hope to improve
Don't do his method trounlesome,
Continue on yours . . .
I think this goes to General Web Building as this relates to your site, not to your code.

Your site is using better code. He's using tables - booooo.

Your site does look a little bit misaligned in Firefox, mainly just the left menu, and the menu also seems to have a different font in Firefox than in IE.

Thankyou guys, I learned most of the stuff to build my site from w3schools and forums like this, when he shown me his method I was almost sure it was outdated and limted, some confirmation that im on the right track from the pro's is all I needed...

Like I said good or bad please post your opnioins.

@ riptide... I was thinking about having quick links along the grey bar and loosing the links down the side, but right now i gotta get all the content added before i can get more creative.

I all for the user experience and I aim to make the site as simple as possible to use, but im also very short on time since I work all day and only work on the site in my free time.

Yeah I have some of this stuff noted and aim to fix them, crossbrowser cofings are a real headach, but I guess it helps us be better at what we are doing.
