Simple Ajax problem

Hi, I would like a small script writing please that would check every 3 seconds whether a new round is starting on a gaming server and play an alarm if it it is.

On this page:

http://digitalpatriots.org/info.php?...5b516&clan=cro

it tells you the time left on the server, for example:

Time left: 4:00

Whenever a new round starts the time pauses for a few seconds in between rounds. I would like a script that on that page that will communicate with a page i make, say, 'roundtime.php', which will simple return a time in 'm:s'.

The script will see if the time is the same as the previous request, if its the same it will play an audio alarm.

The time:

Time left: 4:00

Should also count down.

Thanks for any help. cheers.
