Photoshop 5 LE- Upgradeable?

I have an opportunity to get Adobe Photoshop 5 LE. What I want to know is, how is it limited? Could it be upgraded to the full version of Photoshop 6?

Nope, you can't upgrade to Photoshop 7 with either LE or Elements. If you could then everyone would do it as you could then get PS7 for $250 or so

as far as i know, Grant, when you get an LEdition, you can purchase an upgrade to the full edition, of that version number. then, you'd have to purchase the upgrade to the newest edition. i'm not positive of that, but that's how i think it works.

if you're pressed for cash, try buying through a student discount site. if you're not in school, enrolling in a photoshop class at a local community college, is usually enough to qualify for the discount.

I don't like the idea of having to buy 2 seperate upgrades...maybe I'll just look on eBay for the full version of Photoshop 6.
