paging and sorting in php

Can anyone advise me on any scripts out there to do paging and sorting in php?

paging of what? text? HTML pages? and sorting of what ... a database?

sorry i have a script that prints a table with records from a db.
I want to be able to split it in pages of 25 with the pages on the bottom.
I also want the headers of the table to be sorted when clicked (for all the pages)
