A News script

I am not sure if I am posting this in the right forum, but I wanted to know how I could do a news script. Instead of updating the HTML, I just want to type in the news that I wanted on the sight and have a script that automatically updates the site. Is this the right place for that?

Have you considered using Greymatter?
I use that for my news page and it's a case of logging onto any PC with Internet, typing your news and it'll update the news page and archive the older news. You also get the option to put in a comments feature.

Follow the grey matter link on the above page.
