George would manually have to edit the MySQL db probably, and since he didn't do it for the thousands of posts some of the older members had from the old UBB forums, I don't think he'd do it at all.
It is just a post count after all, not like it means anything.
If there's a good reason for the username change, and I actually know my way around the relevant SQL commands for VB to change a user's post count, sure. Unfortunately the later is a problem for now.

it shouldnt be so hard, when the displayed name is in another column in the database as the login name, if its filled, use the displayed name, if not use the login name. Shouldn't be so hard customising that i suppose

getting that posts count up ... *lol*
thanks Roelf!
my first job here in the US was customer service rep. we had to sign our initials on all the papers we dealt with. Mine are V.V. (no, it's not how my parents named me. it is by my married name). So people started calling me DoubleV sometimes. My friends don't call me that and I have left that job about 2.5 years ago, but never forgot my "nick".
On another forum yesterday people were talking about what their nicknames mean and I thought of mine and realised that it is so boring and then i remembered about "DoubleV" and thought that it sounds more fun and more "misterious".
lol
changing my internet identity - doesn't that sound freaky?
Originally posted by WA Regarding post count not incrementing, it's actually not a bug. Posting in some areas of the forum do not add to your count, namely, this one.
