Upgrading PHP

Hi all,

I am upgrading our PHP version from 4.3.9 to 4.4.5. When I have finished the upgrade I connect to any of the sites on our server and I get asked for a username and password similar to a .htaccess kind of thing. If I enter the incorrect details I get a 401.3 error.
When I reinstate the previous version of PHP the problem goes.
We are running it on a Windows Server 2003 server with IIS 6.0.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Many thanks

Permissions. Make sure IUSR_COMPUTERNAME has read/execute perms to the php folder(apply perms recursively). Read the Windows and IIS6 specific entries in the php documentation. This is all covered in there.
