Bandwidth Issues

I have built a website called FreePSPWallpapers.co.uk. Its doing well and get 1500 visitors daily. A problem i have is the bandwidth its using is killing me.

At the begining i had all the larger images on the site for people to see (480x272), this was when i first changed to the new look where the customer sees' small images and has to click to get the larger image. The small images were reduced to 180x102 - i have yet again changed this so the small images are now 100x57.

Its likely that my site will be down from the 12th of the month, unless i change something quickly. Either up my bandwidth or change the size of things on the site. Any tips??

Peter

How big are the image files? For web use there is rarely a need for the individual full sized image files to go over 50k in size (if they are bigger than that you haven't optimised them properly). Your thumbnails should be around 1k or less.

I had an old animation that cost me £180 in bandwidth!

I currently use www.dreamhost.com
They give you 400GB of webspace and 4 TB of bandwidth, both increase weekly
and honestly I've not had a problem since

(offer code "SOTY" gives you a load off )

Thanks for the reply. Is there a way in which i can order the images by size?

So the ones at the front will always be the lowest in size?

Peter.
