ok, here is what i am doing.
I am creating a media player, that you can listen to a friends music by clicking on their picture. I have a page written in php that pulls the list of songs from a database and parses it in xml. What i need is when the picture is clicked it sends the users id to the php page which then parses that specific data into xml and for the javascript to pull out the xml data and display it. I have been googleing on how to do this for days now and have tried many things. Javascript is new to me but i want to learn more so if any one can help all is appreciated.
oh, and i've tried using: getXmlHttpRequestObject() but i don't understand how it works and how to use it.
