CSS Active Images, not staying active

I cant figure this one out so any help or tips would be great, not so sure what to search for either.

If you go to http://www.lostseed.com/ just click a button at the top like Mission, and you notice it doesn't stay highlighted. I'd like it to. I'm not sure how I'd do that, and with active links I believe if you click something else it takes the focus off it.

Here is the CSS for the toolbar:
http://www.lostseed.com/css/toolbar.css

its basicly link, hover, visited, active -- for the images. The Hover is the same as the Active.

Hello jream,
I think a link is only active when your actually clicking on it. For what you want, have a look at breadcrumbs.
